The Australian Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (AWWF) has delegated the administration of Towed Water Sports (the Sports) in Victoria to the Victorian Water Ski Wakeboard Federation (VWWF).

 

The VWWF is therefore the peak administrative body for Towed Water Sports in Victoria and is established solely to:  

• Affiliate with the AWWF and such other bodies including the Victorian Sports Commission  

• Act in good faith and loyalty to ensure the conduct, encouragement, promotion, success, strength, stability, enhancement, standards, quality, reputation, regulation, maintenance and administration of the Sports in Victoria; including through and by the various Divisional Subcommittees (DSC)  for the collective and mutual benefit of Members and the Sports; 

• Develop sportsmanship, proficiency, physical and mental fitness;  

• Apply and protect the property of VWWF;  

• Publish and promote information regarding the Sports;  

• Strive for recognition of VWWF and the Sports;  

• Through the DSC foster, organise and manage tournaments, send teams to events, maintain sporting records and award trophies 

• Review, determine and recognise matters relating to the Sport referred to it by any DSC;  

• Encourage by extending the opportunity of education and further participation in the Sport as well as promote health and safety of those registered with other Waterskiing organisations;  

• Support research and development of the Sport and equipment;  

• Formulate or adopt, implement and promote appropriate policies, including:- sexual harassment, equal opportunity, equity, drugs in sport, health, safety, junior and senior programs, infectious diseases and such other matters 

• Represent the interests of its Members and the Sport;  

• Have regard to the public interest in its operation;  

• Enable the Members to receive the benefits which these Purposes are intended to achieve.
