Vicsport is pleased to offer our next Child Safe Sport Community of Practice and Integrity Forum featuring guest speaker Shannon Dixon (Senior Advisor, Sport) from the eSafety Commissioner.

This session will explore:

  • Types of online harm in sport – for example bullying, harassment, threats and image-based abuse

  • Research and insights – that highlight the prevalence of online harm in the community

  • Case studies – of online issues in sport, ranging from disrespect to serious reportable issues

  • How to deal with issues – step by step guide to dealing with incidents

  • Resources – to assist sport organisations, including the eSafety Sports hub.

The webinar will also address the upcoming social media age restrictions that are set to take place on 10 December 2025. These world-first measures introduced by the Australian Government aim to protect young Australians during a critical stage of their development.With the legislation still in flux as we lead up to our event, Shannon will help provide information on what these changes mean for the sport sector, how to prepare and how they may impact your organisation's online engagement. You can also explore the information hub for detailed guidance.
